Our current situation sometimes makes us feel like life has been put on hold. However, as most of us have been gifted with some extra spare time, now can be the perfect time to get some wedding planning completed! We have listed five tasks that will not only leave you feeling super-productive but will inject a bit of wedding-themed fun into your time in lockdown.
1. WORK, WORK, WORK ON THAT GUEST LIST
You might have a basic idea of who you would like at your wedding but creating that full and finalised guest list can be a difficult and time-consuming task. Use this time to really lock down who you are inviting to your wedding. It’s also a great time to create an address list for sending out invitations. Making sure you have everybody’s up-to-date address gives you the perfect opportunity to reach out to friends and relatives and have a catch up, as will as ticking something off the to-do list!
2. GET YOUR BRIDESMAIDS LOOKS ON POINT
Picking out bridesmaids looks can be a large task, especially if you plan to have a lot of girls by your side! Work out your bridesmaids looks by finalising a colour palette, getting an idea of a style that everybody is comfortable with and taking down everyone’s measurements. It’s the perfect excuse to get the gals together with a glass of wine over Zoom! If you are interested in our bridesmaids collection or are thinking about creating bespoke looks to be designed specifically for your bridesmaids, contact us at email@example.com.
3. GET CREATIVE WITH A WEDDING WEBSITE
Wedding websites are an exciting, modern way for brides to keep each of their guests updated with the details of their big day. You can upload all sorts of useful information such as a dress code for your guests or directions so they can easily plan their journey on the big day. Thinking about all of this information could take up a decent amount of your time, making it the perfect lockdown task! Creating a website is also a great way of learning a new online skill.
4. READ THE SMALL PRINT
This task might sound like a bit of a yawn but reading through all of your contract agreements is an important thing to do, particularly if you think you may need to postpone your wedding. Getting into the nitty-gritty of your contracts with your venue and vendors will help you understand exactly what you need to do to postpone your day. People may be extra flexible during these times but we recommend reading through contracts before deciding upon any drastic changes. It may well put your mind at ease!
5. CREATE YOUR ELEGANZA LOVE LIST
If you are waiting patiently for lockdown to be lifted so that you can finally have the Eleganza Experience you are dreaming of, make that time a little more bearable by sifting through our fabulous collection to find your favourites! By creating your Eleganza Love List, your stylist gets a great idea of your personality and style before you have even entered our shop! If you can’t find exactly what you are looking for and are considering a bespoke wedding gown, we recommend scrolling the web to find reference pictures that perfectly detail your vision.
