Eleganza Sposa were delighted to sponsor and support the Glasgow Caledonian University 4th Year Fashion Business Students 2013 Fashion Show.  We set the students the challenge of designing exquisite wedding gowns for our in-house Eleganza Iconica Collection. Four inspiring winners were selected, one from each of the Eleganza key looks. There was, however, one runner-up whose exquisite design will be included in our Eleganza 'Iconica' Collection.  Helen Tatner, a Fashion Business graduate from Glasgow Caledonian University works with us as a bridal stylist and in-house bridal designer. Her dress 'Helena' perfectly encapsulates the  talent, vision and of our Eleganza Sposa design team. We spoke with Helen to learn more... Which fashion designer do you most admire?  I admire a range of different designers...however I would have to say my number one is Christian Dior. It's the simplistic elegance in his work that I wish to master. How does it feel to be an in-house designer for Eleganza Sposa? Working with Eleganza is fantastic. Everyday I learn something new, whether its from the staff or the clients. It is such an established brand and I feel very privileged to be part of the design team, not to mention excited about what's to come. What was the inspiration behind your design?  I decided to look at the classic ballet Swan Lake. I wanted to bring a strong, classic look to my designs but with a bit of a twist. I studied the structure and movement of the costumes and tried to introduce that to my collection. What are your plans for the future now you have graduated? I plan to work with Eleganza to develop the  Iconica collection, while still working on the shop floor as I want to maintain a strong customer focus. I am also attending college in the evening to strengthen the skills I have developed in the Fashion Business course. My ultimate goal is to be a successful designer and to be able to run a business as established as Eleganza.
