Eleganza Real Bride: April

Eleganza Real Bride: April

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

I feel like I walked in to Eleganza with no actual hope that I would find my perfect dress. I had been to a few shops before, tried on a lot of dresses, but I'm very indecisive and was feeling like there was no way I would find one that I was completely set on. I feel like Chloe totally listened to what I was trying to describe I wanted, even though I wasn't the best at it, and brought out a dress that totally exceeded my expectations. I just felt so lucky to be there and have this beautiful dress to wear. The whole experience was perfect and I especially loved coming back in again just with my mum when it was quiet in the store to make my final decision. The store is stunning and everyone makes you feel so important.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

Originally we were supposed to fly out to Santorini but due to COVID our holiday was cancelled and Jack booked a last minute getaway to London. I think because of how last minute our trip was planned, I had absolutely no idea a proposal was coming. He proposed to me at the top of the London Eye, and we were so lucky the other couple sharing our pod managed to snap a few candid pics for us. He was so nervous not just because of the proposal, but also because he is so scared of heights.

I can't lie and say I enjoyed the wedding planning process at all! I am so glad I managed to find my perfect dress first as I feel I based my whole theme for the wedding around it. I kept sending pics of the dress to all the organisers to show them what I was basing everything on.

Our honeymoon we spent 2 weeks in Cancun with no kids and it was absolute bliss.

Tell us more about your Martina Liana gown!

I felt like an absolute princess in my dress! I am the least out there person there is, and I was actually really nervous about how big and extravagant the dress I'd picked was but every time I put it on I just completely fell in love. I knew that everyone would be shocked about the dress I'd picked but I think it was a good shock. Everyone at the wedding and also anyone I met after commented on how gorgeous my dress was. The removable sleeves were definitely my favourite part, I knew I wanted a dress with sleeves but hadn't considered id be able to remove them half way through, it felt like 2 different dresses. All the intricate detailing also of the beading and lace was just amazing.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

The inspiration for me was just a very romantic vibe, as my dress wasn't white I knew I wanted my bridesmaids to be in white and as such my decor to match. I wanted everything to look quite clean and classy.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

The entire day was more than I could have ever wished for. I was just so happy to have everyone we loved in one place. The day ran so smoothly and I have to thank my bridesmaids more than anything for that, they kept me going (even though I was slightly hungover from the night before) and made sure it was so special for me. But I do feel like the dress was the star of the show - for me anyway! I just felt so lucky, and so lucky that my children could be there to celebrate with us. They still talk about it now. There wasn't anything that I would change!

What was the most memorable moment?

The most memorable moment for me was walking down the aisle - I was super nervous before but as soon as I was standing there with my dad walking down I just completely relaxed. I was just so happy to be there with everyone I loved.

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

My favourite picture is actually not a photo I'm in - it's my daughter walking down to meet my husband & the first time him seeing her in her dress. She just completely stole the show
