Eleganza Real Bride: Dior

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

My Eleganza Experience was magical from start to finish. The team listened carefully to what I wanted, selecting beautiful gowns to choose from whilst providing an excellent service. I immediately felt welcomed into Eleganza and could feel the excitement in the air as the team showcased all they had to offer, which is a lot!

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

It was a cold crispy morning in Boston when Paul took to his knee and asked me to be his wife. Life was right on the cusp of covid lockdowns and the world as we knew it was changing but we were none the wiser in our new bubble of joy. It was an immediate YES! We celebrated our engagement going through the bars of Newbury, celebrating with locals and having one too many aluminium buds. We had to fly home early to avoid being stranded in the US which turned out be a good thing as a few months later we found out we were expecting our first baby, a little girl who is called Boston.

Tell us more about your Suzanne Neville gown!

Eleganza was the first stop in my search and Amber was the 2nd dress I tried on. I could talk for hours about the love affair I had with my dress, it was dreamy. The perfect combination of being a timeless classic with a modern twist. The stitched panel detailing and buttons complimented the square neckline and belt detail beautifully. I knew as soon as I slipped the dress on that it was going to be the one. I remember telling my Mum from behind the curtain "This is it" & I hadn't even seen it on myself. The fabric just felt so luxurious & the shade was perfect, I didn't know it was what I wanted until I had it. Not often is my Mum lost for words but when the curtain was drawn back, she speechless for all the right reasons. I didn't expect to have that "Moment" that everyone talks about but I remember feeling so confident and aligned. It was such a special moment that I will cherish forever.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

I really wanted to have a day filled with love and happiness and as little stress as possible. We love to have a good time & I took inspiration from the things we love, our People, our city & the memories we have made. For us we got the combination just right, using Glasgow cabs as our means of transport, Tunnock's Teacakes to hold name flags for tables, naming our tables after places we love and using local suppliers etc. I really loved those little touches, it was great to have such a beautiful venue that we could create some wholesome touches that felt good for us whilst having a touch of class in our centrepieces and welcome board.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

I couldn't have wished for a better day! Our team were amazing & really delivered on the day. We were married in St Vincent de Pauls RC church which is near to our home and is the same church that Pauls Grandparents & Parents were married, very traditional of us! We sealed the deal and headed to Ashton Lane for some fun photo's, the reason being it was the place where we had our first date & we couldn't skip the chance of doing some pre wedding reception shots!! I am so glad we did that as it was lovely to soak each other up for a while. We headed back to Cottiers to be greeted by all our family & friends ready for a tasty meal followed by a LOT of dancing & partying. I think the footage from the night speaks for itself. We finished 22.10.22 as Husband & Wife & such a magical feeling starting our new chapter as The Reilly's.

What was the most memorable moment?

I want to say the speeches, the shots in Ashton Lane, I should probably say the first dance but I loved the sound people made & the reactions when I entered the church & having Boston waiting at the alter beside Paul. In that moment it all felt so real with the bagpipes in the background & surrounded by love. This was followed closely by Paul spinning me round above his head like a rotor blade, because who doesn't love a classic lift of love at a wedding??

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

I love the one of Paul, Boston & I walking down the aisle after the ceremony. We both look so happy & how lovely to get to share it with our daughter. I also really enjoy the Ashton Lane picture in Vodka Wodka where my leg is popped and I am locking lips with my new Husband! It felt like a total full circle moment, 1st date kisses to Mr & Mrs.
