Eleganza Real Bride: Emily

Eleganza Real Bride: Emily

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

So relaxed and friendly. Francesca was so patient and helpful, she really made me feel at ease. There was no pressure or stress, it was just really enjoyable.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

Jamie proposed after we had been out walking our dog at the Falls of Clyde in Lanark. I had no makeup on, was in leggings and a hoody and had no idea it was coming, but it was perfect.
I loved scrolling through instagram, TikTok and pinterest for inspiration while planning our wedding. TikTok was super helpful for DIY ideas, making your wedding extra personal and saving money.
We are going to the Maldives for our honeymoon soon, we can't wait, it will be a trip of a lifetime.

Tell us more about your Essense of Australia gown!

I initially had a different style in mind for my wedding dress, my dress was the first A-line dress I tried on and I immediately loved the shape of it. It made me feel like I had more of a shape compared to more fitted dresses I had tried before. I loved that it has a subtle glitter layer to it which catches the light when it moves. My mum and sister were with me and they both loved it, there were tears once I paired it with a veil.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

We wanted a kind of rustic, fairy tale wedding. Our colours were earthy green and gold with little touches of dusty pink. We had a lot of wooden decor, fairy lights and greenery.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

I was surprisingly relaxed and calm in the morning. Once I started getting my hair and makeup done, the time just flew by and before I knew it, it was time to walk down the aisle. We had our friend playing our ceremony music on the piano which made it feel really cosy and intimate. The time disappeared again after the ceremony, we had a chance to mingle with our guests and then got some photos in our lovely venue. Dinner was perfect, so many people complemented Cornhill for the food and the staff being so helpful.
The evening was probably my favourite part of the day, there was a stunning sunset, so we got some great photos and then the dancing begun. Our dancefloor was packed all night and the atmosphere was perfect.

What was the most memorable moment?

My groom shedding a tear as I came down the aisle

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

I love the pictures with our dog, Harris. I really wanted him to be a part of our day but was really worried he would jump up on my dress! He was great, and it made our day extra special by having him there.
