Eleganza Real Bride: Faye

Eleganza Real Bride: Faye

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

Sumptuous! After visiting 5 wedding dress shops and trying on over 50 dresses I felt flat and disheartened. My sister recommended Eleganza and we made the 3 hour drive from Newcastle Upon Tyne and were not disappointed.
Each dress I tried on felt incredible and trying to choose one was an arduous task.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

Sadly planning our wedding, like many others, was plagued with delays due to Covid-19 and, in the end, our dream chateau wedding in France scheduled for 2021 was cancelled; much to our devastation.
This didn't stop us tying the knot in front of 9 of our closest family members in the local registry office whilst the ongoing lockdown and social distancing measures remained in place in 2021.
Once the world resumed some normality we held a wedding celebration in our hometown of Newcastle Upon Tyne, at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, on the side of the river on a glorious July day in 2022. It felt so special to finally have our big moment with all our friends and family after so much heartache.
For honeymoon we traveled to Mauritius, exploring island life, climbing mountains, consuming endless sushi and cocktails.

Tell us more about your All Who Wander gown!

I always knew i wanted something different with a little bit of extravagance without feeling silly. The Gio Gown with feathers was the first dress i tried on at Eleganza and i instantly fell in love. Once the bridal cathedral wings were added it stole my heart. The dress captured everything i was looking for and had a bit of a fun vibe to it.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

The theme after sourcing my dream dress was feathers. Despite my husband not knowing or realising every outfit I wore to a special occasion leading up to our wedding incorporated feathers. This included the white jumpsuit i wore to our registry office wedding, an outfit on my hen do and then finally my wedding dress.
The colour palette was gold, blush, nude, champagne, whites and creams; our florist and venue designer referred to it as Hollywood glamour with pampas and disco balls.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

Despite Samuel and I being legally married in 2021 we stayed apart in the morning, only coming together to ride in a vintage VW camper van to the venue.
We had a quiet hour in a private room with our close family to begin, ensuring we could spend some time with our nearest and dearest prior to the celebration.
We then made a grand entrance to all our guests who were elated whilst the a saxophonist, bongo player and DJ played.
The afternoon was spent finally celebrating our love for one another after a 2 year delay.
Our photographer, Lauren Stacey, selected our wedding photo to feature in Decembers addition of vogue as she said she had never seen two people so elated to be in each others company - something i will always treasure.

What was the most memorable moment?

Making our grand entrance

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

All are so special to us, it is difficult to choose. The vogue image does make us smile and adds a special touch.
