How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?
My Eleganza experience was truly astonishing from start to finish. I attended my appointment back in 2019 with my four beautiful bridesmaids and mum. I tried on 5 gowns and ended up choosing gown 2. I had to postpone the wedding due to COVID so I had my dress for around 2 years before the wedding and was in love with it from the moment I bought it to when I wore it on the wedding day. The service is outstanding and I felt really special when I was there. Every time I attended an alterations appointment I got to know the girls and it was like having a catch up with friends!
Let’s go back to the start - what was your engagement like?
Alex and I were on holiday in Tulum, Mexico when we got engaged. He had arranged a candle lit dinner on the beach with rose petals and champagne.
I loved most parts of planning our wedding (minus the postponement- that was stressful!), I love being organised and choosing venue decorations, flowers and stationery was a highlight for me. The biggest highlights however was finding my dream dress and purchasing my first pair of Jimmy Choo's which complimented the dress beautifully.
We are going to Dubai and the Maldives for our honeymoon.
Tell us all about your Martina Liana wedding gown.
I added this dress to my 'love list' as I felt it was different to what I would go for. I went into dress shopping with an idea of what I wanted and come out with the opposite.
The leaf detail on the top of the dress was one of my favourite parts, the hidden tulle surprisingly really complimented me, which I didn't expect.
The train on the dress was breath taking, there was so much detail.
I felt like a queen wearing the dress and every time I saw myself in it I just didn't want to take it off.

Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette for your wedding decor?
My inspiration for the wedding was simplicity. I wanted the theme to be bright and elegant. Our colour palette followed white, gold and leaf foliage.
Tell us more about your wedding day!
Our big day happened on 7th April 2022. We got married at Carlowrie Castle, Kirkliston. The venue was sensational.
We had quite a big wedding with all our friends and family present. It was like a massive party from start to finish. Our humanist created such a relaxed and informal tone to the day which is what we wanted. We love humour and being light hearted so this was really important to us. This then followed on throughout the day, walking into the wedding meal there was such a buzz - everyone had their napkins in the air swinging them- It was a moment to remember.
Our evening reception had a DJ, saxophone player and bongo drum player and again, everyone was buzzing. My husband and I danced ALL night.
What was the most memorable moment?
Walking down the aisle with my dad
Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?
My favourite picture from the wedding is the one where I am turning back after walking up the aisle moments after we said 'I Do'- in that moment I felt complete.
