Eleganza Real Bride: Jennifer

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

My Eleganza experience was magical from start to finish. I was in a bit of a different position from a lot of brides in that I had modelled a lot of wedding dresses as part of my work so I was nervous that it would be hard to find my perfect dress - I shouldn't have worried. The amazing team at Eleganza, worked with me to create my perfect gown - even when I wasn't sure what to do they were patient and so knowledgeable to guide me through and in the end I have never felt so good in a dress, it was such a magical feeling. I can't thank you all enough!

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

The wedding was such a brilliant day - a bit of a cliché but everything was perfect (apart from the weather - but we do live in Scotland). It was such a buzz after all the celebrations and we're keeping that buzz going with the Honeymoon plans - we are off to Argentina in January for a bit of an adventure! Cannot wait!

Tell us more about your Eleganza Sposa gown!

I loved everything about the dress. It was clean cut, classic with my perfect silhouette - the full skirt had amazing movement and the bodice fitted like a glove. The extra details added that extra flair and personality with buttons all the way down the back of the dress and the lace sleeves added that extra glamour. I have never felt so good in a dress and the reaction only made me feel even better as everyone was blown away!

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

We actually didn't really have a theme for the wedding, it was all about keeping it a fun celebration with a few of my family and friends in one of my favourite settings at Pollok House.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

The wedding was a relatively relaxed affair and just a wonderful celebration with a small group of friends and family. Jamie and I have been together over 12 years before deciding to tie the knot so there were no nerves on the day really just pure excitement. The weather definitely didn't go in our favour - I think it was one of the wettest days Scotland has seen - flood warnings across the country - but thankfully once we got inside the gorgeous venue it didn't make any difference - it was just pure joy all day long. I loved it!

What was the most memorable moment?

Our pinata wedding cake was a definite highlight - the moment we used the stick to hit in to the pinata cake was a brilliant surprise for everyone in the room and so much fun to do!

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

I loved all our photos - they are all so special and capture such perfect moments. One of the many stand outs though is a black and white image from our dance floor where I have my arm around Jamie and we are smiling at each other - it has captured so much joy and I love it.
