How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

The Eleganza showroom is beautiful and the staff are so experienced in what they do. I felt in good hands and trusted that I would find my ideal dress from the minute I went in, which I did of course! We were able to work together to make bespoke changes to the dress and create two looks, which I loved. Rachel was so patient with me and it felt like we were a proper team committed to finding the dress, but not in a pushy way at all! All the little touches make a difference and I was so surprised by how emotional it was saying yes to the dress. Such special memories with my mum and sister that I’ll treasure.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

My favourite part of planning the wedding was the opportunity to be creative again! From thinking about the invite design, to making changes to the dress, to coming up with something special and unique with our flowers… it became like a fun (albeit slightly stressful at times lol) hobby for my now-husband and I.

Tell us more about your Suzanne Neville gown!

I wore the Abigail dress, with an Eleganza Overskirt and simple Veil. We created a tulle bow for nighttime and replaced the long sleeves on the dress with tulle sleeves (matching the overskirt). I was drawn to Suzanne Neville for its classic but modern shapes and designs. I wanted something timeless and that’s exactly what I got!

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

I saw an image of a floral design on Pinterest and fell in love with the colour pallet. It was warm, fun, and different. Most importantly, it tied in perfectly with our venue (a bright pink house with gorgeous gardens to get married in). I used this image as the inspiration for my bridesmaids, so that they each wore different dresses and different colours. As I had 6, I wanted them all to feel super comfortable and confident in their outfits. We kept the shoes the same to tie their looks together (with a wee bow on them to match mine!).

Tell us more about your Big Day!

We got married in Sintra in Portugal, a village just outside of Lisbon. It’s a magical place that has a mythical feel to it with huge castles and so much history. We love Lisbon as a city so it appealed to us to get married close by to it. I’ve been visiting Portugal with my family since I was a young child and it was our first holiday destination together, so we feel connected to it.

We wanted to get all our favourite people together to eat, drink & dance the night away. The Aperol spritz were flowing all day and the DJ created the best soundtrack, so the dance floor was never empty!

What was the most memorable moment?

We did a “first touch” that was so special. This happened just before the ceremony and once we were both fully ready. It gave us the chance to hold hands, without seeing each other, and take a moment together before the day got into full swing. My husband was so nervous, which neither of us would have expected, and this completely calmed him. I’ll remember that wee moment forever.
