Eleganza Real Bride: Mel

Eleganza Real Bride: Mel

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

Eleganza for me was the perfect bridal experience any girl could wish for. It's exactly how I envisioned it from a little girl. There shop is luxurious and all the girls make you feel so welcome and special.
My mum and I had an absolute ball.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

Mike proposed to me xmas Eve 2021 (I had been waiting for him to do this all year!! haha) but didn't expect it on Xmas eve. It was in the Bonnie Badger in Gullane with all 3 of our dogs, it couldn't have been more perfect.
I planned the entire wedding, I ran everything past mum dad and Mike of course haha but I was in my absolute glory planning an event down to every tiny detail.
We went to Dubai for a wee minimoon for New Year but our honeymoon is 6th March and we go to the Maldives for 2 weeks, a dream we both cant wait for!

Tell us more about your Suzanne Neville gown!

I only tried on 5 dresses, 4 by Suzanne Neville and one by Martiana Liana. The first was Savannah (this is what I pictured in my head from a little girl) but I really didn't suit it. The second and winning dress the girls brought out Sapphire - I cried and I knew deep down this was the one. It felt so chic, elegant and timeless, everything I wanted. I just needed to put my touch on it it. I chose a very lacey extravagant veil and I envisioned adding the same lace to the sapphire design so they matched. I wanted it to look like frost and wow It was absolutely magical and transformed the dress,

My mum also got her MOTB outfit also by Suzanne neville. I adored how we both wore the same designer and we were in very similar necklines.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

I always wanted relatively traditional and classy vibes. nothing boho or modern. My flowers - I always wanted clean cuts, nothing messy. So it was classic white and red roses, a touch of holly and berry in their too. For reception it very much followed our stationary theme white and gold. White and gold cake, gold lanson favours, again elegant and chic.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

I was very lucky to secure the Red hot Chilli Pipers for my entire day. This is a moment we will never forget. They piped guests in, me up the aisle, us into the reception, and off course their final showpiece later on in the evening - just wow.

What was the most memorable moment?

Most definitely the church and walking up the aisle to Mike.

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

It is so hard to choose the photos are all unbelievable but I think the the close up of mike and I outside the church is my favourite.
