How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?
Fantastic! It was the first bridal shop I visited and the experience was outstanding. The shop is beautiful and the staff made me and my family feel very welcome. Any other shop we visited after that was a let down as the bar was set very high by Eleganza.
I honestly think the service was amazing and I loved the whole experience. The team really understood that this was a special day for not only me but my mum and my sister and they really took the time to get to know us and put us at ease. My stylist also really seemed to know my style and knew what would work from me from the start - in fact the second dress that I tried on I bought as I just fell in love with it.
I also did love the "I said yes to my dream dress" cards! Ha ha! I love the TV programme so it was fun to act it out in real life.
Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, your favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?
My fiancé and I went to Loch Lomond for the weekend over the winter. We booked a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the loch and my finance proposed on the balcony, it was lovely. I pretty much enjoyed the whole wedding process, my two highlights were finding the venue and of course my dream dress! We had a mini-moon directly after our wedding to The Algarve. Our official "mega-moon" is over the Christmas period, we're off to Mexico and we can't wait.
Tell us all about your Martina Liana dress!
The dress is called Carina by Martina Liana. I absolutely love everything about it and am just depressed that I'll never get to wear it again. It is the perfect blend of elegance with a little bit of sexiness. I've honestly never felt so beautiful in my life, as a bride should, and everyone commented on how stunning it was.
What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme?
We had a travel theme because at the start of our relationship I had to move to the United States for work. We thought it would be a nice idea to put our relationship history into the theme for the wedding. So we had save the date postcards, flight boarding passes as invitations, our cake was tiered suitcases, our favours were mini-suitcases with sweets inside them, etc. It worked a treat and told our story.
It is a cliché and everyone says it but it honestly was the best day of my life. From start to finish I couldn't stop smiling! We got married in October and had a chapel wedding, followed by our reception at the stunning Inglewood House in Alloa. I couldn't praise any of my suppliers any higher! They were all amazing; from my flowers, make-up and hair to the venue, food, band, photographer and videographer. All our friends and family were just "up for it" and we had so much fun, honestly our best day ever.
What was the most memorable moment?
There are too many - but honestly the ceremony itself. I remember arriving at chapel and suddenly feeling very nervous, I knew that in a second all eyes would be on me and that was quite emotional. I think walking down the aisle and then my husband and I saying our vows is definitely the most memorable part - something you never really forget.
Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?
I have many so it would be hard to only say there was one. I love all of them, the ones with Gary and I, the ones with the bridal party and one I have with my wee mum!
Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Eleganza Sposa?
You'll have the best day. Don't rush the experience take it all in and enjoy it - also enjoy the Champagne!
