How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

Eleganza was the first and only wedding dress shop I visited and I loved every minute of it. The experience was everything you could hope for, we enjoyed a welcome drink on arrival and the girls in the shop made everything feel so relaxed but so exciting at the same time! It was so surreal trying on wedding dresses, it was really helpful that the girls in the shop brought over a varied selection as I ended up not going for the style I thought I would and picked something I definitely wouldn't have tried on myself! There was no pressure to buy anything and the girls in the shop were great with pairing veils and shoes to help me envision how things would look on the day. The shop itself has a beautiful interior and the whole experience was just so lovely, in the end I was so excited I bought the dress that day!

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

We are not long back from our honeymoon to Vietnam/Tokyo, we had the most incredible time and wish we could do it all over again! Vietnam has always been on our travel list and we absolutely loved exploring it together on our honeymoon. The culture, food and beautiful scenery was amazing to experience and we loved every minute of it! Tokyo was also incredible - I think our favourite city we have ever visited! It was an amazing action packed adventure honeymoon as we'd always wanted, and it was just so nice escaping together for a few weeks of precious memory making after the wedding!

Tell us more about your Essense of Australia gown!

To be honest, I was so surprised with the dress I picked - it's true what they say that you don't always go for what you think! Out of the 8 or so dresses the girls in the shop brought over and asked me for opinions on, it was genuinely the only one I considered saying no to! The reason being, it was champagne coloured (not white) which I'd never considered and just didn't feel was as traditional, however, not wanting to be rude I just tried it on anyway and couldn't believe how much I fell in love with it. Before visiting the shop, I had pictured myself in one of the beautiful fitted styles with lace and long trains, however, the moment I put my dress on (Fia by Essence of Australia) I immediately felt so comfortable and loved the style although it wasn't my usual type. I couldn't stop thinking about it whilst I tried on other dresses and found myself comparing each new dress I tried to that one. When I asked to try it back on (after trying a variety of other beautiful dresses) I just loved the way I felt in it and knew it was the one. I tried on a veil and shoes to complete the image and found it so bizarre how much I looked (and felt) like a bride - it was perfect!

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

Autumn has always been my favourite time of year and, given that my husband and I met on halloween, we went for a rustic autumn theme with lots of pumpkins (over 100 in the end!) Bridesmaids looked gorgeous in lovely burgundy coloured dresses and the place was scattered with rustic decor and green/white/orange pumpkins to give that autumnal vibe - we even squeezed in some dunking for apples with free drinks for winners!

Tell us more about your Big Day!

Having postponed our wedding twice, we were so so excited when our day finally arrived. We got married in the beautiful Luss Parish Church, a very quaint and homely Church on Loch Lomond and then had our reception at The Cruin. Despite it raining all day, The Cruin and the surrounding views of Loch Lomond looked incredible and we loved dashing outside in the rain to try capture some photos. It was amazing spending time catching up with guests and then it was time for dinner before we knew it! After dinner we loved doing a sparkler photoshoot - I think this is normally done with a handful of guests but we'd bought plenty of sparklers and with a "the more the merrier" attitude, before we knew it we had everyone outside for the worlds biggest sparkler tunnel! It was incredible and just so much fun, we love the way the photos turned out too! The band were amazing, kept the dancefloor busy all night and we just enjoyed every minute of having all our friends and family around us celebrating. The whole day felt the best kind of bizarre, it meant so much to be surrounded by all of our favourite people on the best day of our lives and I just couldn't be happier!
