After a romantic cave proposal filled with intimate details in Mallorca, Rachel was ready to start planning her big day! While searching for the dress of her dreams with us, her stylist was able to bring her wedding dress vision to life down to every last detail!

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

It was amazing from start to finish. Everyone was always so helpful and knowledgeable you really couldn't fault the service. They made you feel completely special and really took the time to make sure every detail was exactly to my specification.

Let’s go back to the start - what was your engagement like?

The proposal was EVERYTHING!!! I don’t think I could have pulled off a better one even if I tried. We were in Mallorca on holiday and it was the last night before we were due to return home. Ross had organised dinner but he wouldn’t tell me where we were going only to be ready for 8.50…… and not to be late! We then headed out of the hotel but rather than head to the front door we went out onto the steps leading to the terrace where at the bottom of the stairs a Rafael or waiter was stood holding a tray with two glasses of champagne and a pink rose ( which I brought home with me and dried it off). From there we were taken to the caves of the hotel by the sea where we had a 5 course dinner which Ross had chosen the menu, the wine and champagne for the evening. I didn’t suspect anything & It wasn’t until dessert was served and the silver cover pulled back that the ring was revealed and I looked round at Ross who was down on one knee. At that a photographer came in and violinist started playing My Way again which Ross had organised………all in all pretty special. The wedding itself was a dream, we were both so sad when it was over. All that planning for the quickest but best day of our lives. I loved the design part and choosing our theme which we had the help Jordana from Jordana Events and she was amazing. We have just returned from honeymoon and we went to Singapore. It was a trip we will remember for ever and will definitely return every once and a while to reminisce.

Tell us all about your Eleganza Bespoke gown.

My dress was AMAZING!! It was everything I could of dreamed of and more. I didn't find my perfect dress in the store but I like a body of one and skirt of another so we tried both on at once ( it was a challenge) and I instantly fell in love and my mum got teary... that never happens! It made me sad having to take it off even though it wasn't an actual dress but it made me so excited for my next appointments. I knew it would be perfect for my big day.

Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette for your wedding decor?

We knew we wanted our day to be the best day of our lives and to give all of our guests are great time. We wanted neutral and warm tones for our theme as we felt it was most visiting with the venue and the vision we had in our heads. We didn't have any wedding theme as such but it was important the colour palette was right and with the help of Jordana we managed to create a beautiful décor in not just one but two completely separate areas of the hotel. As we had such a large wedding not all of our guests would have fitted in the ballroom at the hotel so Jordana had the task of transforming a second room for the night.

Tell us more about your wedding day!

The ceremony took place at Dunning Parish Church which has held a special place in Ross’s family for many years with numerous weddings and christenings having taken pace there. The reception took place at the stunning Gleneagles Hotel and we couldn’t have faulted them, the day went without a single hitch! We chose that venue has Ross’s dad Simon has supplied them for many years and the venue really speak for itself and you can rest easy knowing that everything would have been taking care of to the highest standard.

What was the most memorable moment?

Cole Page our wedding singer - he had everyone up during dinner and really got the party spirit going.

Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Eleganza Sposa?

Go in open minded! What you think you want in your head may in fact not be the dress for you. and trust the girls!!! They know what they are doing :)
