The journey to your dream made to measure gown will begin with an appointment in our iconic Glasgow boutique. We will sit down over a cup of tea or a glass of fizz and get to know you as a bride. We want to hear all about your vision for your gown and how you would love to look on your big day. A few things to consider before your appointment would be:
- What time of year your big day is
- What theme or style you are planning for your wedding
- What areas of your body you would like to show off and what areas you would feel more comfortable with covered up
- What materials you would like for your gown

Prior to your appointment, you will be asked to complete your Love List as you would with a regular appointment. We will be looking for you to add gowns that have different elements that you are interested in. You might end up with a gown that is entirely different to anything we stock, and that is encouraged! However, your selection will tell our design team a lot about what you would like to be incorporated into your gown and what elements you would change. Your initial Love List selection will allow our design team to be on the same page as yourself and will be the first step towards your dream gown!

We can also pull gowns you have selected from your Love List to try on during your appointment to help you really decide what you love and are looking for in your own gown. We recommend that you come to each of your appointments in comfortable underwear and prepared to have your measurements taken.
Once you have collaborated with our team to finalise what you are looking for in your gown, we will sketch it out for you to ensure you are fully happy with it before we bring it to life for you. You will be shown fabric samples to help you to imagine what your made to measure gown will look and feel like. You will be given a time frame of when you can expect your gown to be created into a wearable garment.

Finally, the time will come to see your custom gown in real life for the first time! You will be able to try it on and marvel in your brand new creation. We will then be able to make any alterations you desire, making sure that the dress is exactly the style and fit that you are looking for.
When you are having a custom gown made, prepare to have more appointments at our boutique than usual. We will be looking for regular fittings to ensure your gown is perfect for you and fits you like a glove! We will make you feel at home throughout the whole process and our design team will treat you like a true member of the Eleganza family.
