Eleganza Real Bride: Lauren

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

A dream come true. My appointment at Eleganza was the first time I felt like a bride! I was quite nervous but thankfully the staff are so kind and excited for you that it’s infectious. Their selection of dresses is stunning, and their consultants are amazing at what they do. The dress I ended up with was the first one I tried on!

Tell us more about your Riki Dalal gown!

I knew I wanted something fitted and ornate. My Noya by Riki Dalal dress was all I could have hoped for and more! It was mermaid style, sheathed in delicate floral lace with intricate beading. I think it’s important to find a dress that makes you feel beautiful while still feeling like yourself. It had a toasted almond underlay and a layer of soft glitter, which was a gorgeous touch for my winter wedding.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

Being a November bride, I wanted to lean into a warm, romantic and moody wedding vibe. We went for cabernet red bridesmaid dresses, lavish roses with thistles and sprigs of winter berries for the flowers, and candles - lots of candles! We had the ceremony and reception at the same venue, which we scented with dark honey and amber candles to create a cosy, wintery setting.

Funnily enough, we were blessed with 16 degrees and clear skies, mid-November in Scotland! It was my dream wedding. The venue was stunning, and all our suppliers took our breath away with how perfectly they had interpreted our theme. Being surrounded by all your loved ones who are brimming with happiness for you is a very surreal and special feeling. We are so grateful to have had such a magical day.

What was the most memorable moment?

When I reached my future husband at the end of the aisle. I had worried about being the centre of attention and saying my vows in front of 100 people, however I have never felt calmer and happier in my life. Being pronounced husband and wife, the music playing and everyone cheering, was the epitome of our day.

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

My favourite pictures were captured when my partner and I had our first chance to speak while signing the register. We are quietly showing each other our wedding rings and smiling – what could more perfectly sum up a marriage?
