Eleganza Real Bride: Nicole

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

A dream. The most magical, with amazing service from all the girls at Eleganza nothing was too much. I get butterflies thinking of trying my yes dress on for the very first time. It was the 3rd dress I had tried on but I just knew, my maid of honour and my mum froze and we all just looked at each other and burst out crying It was such a special moment!

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

It was Mother’s Day 2020, the day before the nation went into lockdown. Robin had our little boy Jaxon 6 months in a “mummy will you marry daddy?” Baby grow. He had been planning on proposing in New York that year but with us going into lockdown he thought it would be nice to involve Jaxon on my first Mother’s Day

Favourite part of planning

It’s got to be getting married in my favourite holiday location, I don’t think if I was to get married here I would have enjoyed the planning as much. I think because I got married abroad and being limited to things I could do made it less stressful and of course thanks to having my own wedding Planner- Helen at Licandro Weddings made my life so much easier she was a dream.

Tell us more about your Martina Liana gown!

It was everything I dreamed of and exactly what I thought I would pick. Lace, beads, nude undertone with a detachable skirt added to give me a different look for day and night, although i didn’t want to take it off as I loved the fuller look at the back. I would wear it everyday if I could. I think it was made for me.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

I originally picked Navy for my bridesmaids dresses, then when Robin was set on black tuxedos I thought navy and black seem quite dark for an abroad wedding so I changed the colour to Latte which was a nice neutral bright colour to balance the black. My flowers were ivory with the oatmeal pampas through it with touches of gold for an elegant touch.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

When we planned on getting married abroad, the last thing we thought is that it’s going to rain on our wedding day, but as the Spanish kept telling me all that day- it’s lucky. The hotel we got married in was beautiful we ended up having our wedding ceremony and reception inside but the hotel had a beautiful fountain which was outside and sheltered that we had our canapés and saxophone player so we still had best of both worlds.

What was the most memorable moment?

Walking down from our room to the ceremony area, I couldn’t feel my legs I wanted to pause time as this is what 2 years worth of planning came down to.

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

It’s so hard to chose I have so many favourites. To narrow it down I would chose one of me and my mum, walking down the aisle with my dad and us all standing at the top when Robin and Jaxon see me for the first time. Jaxon kept going wowww and running his hands down my dress
