How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

Where to start with my experience with Eleganza Sposa? It was honestly like a dream.

I first came across the store on Instagram when beautiful dress after beautiful dress was popping up on my feed, after a quick search I saw the store was located in Glasgow. My Mum is located in the North East of Scotland and I'm in between Manchester and Liverpool so it seemed like the perfect place to meet half way.

I was slightly anxious as it was my first store I was visiting to start shopping for my wedding dress. As soon as we arrived, walked up the stairs and greeted by a lovely lady I knew I had nothing to be worried about.

We were sat down, made to feel so welcome and I knew I would be not just in good hands but the best hands. There was even small little touches to make me feel so special with my name and wedding date hanging in their gorgeous decorative tree in the store.

Long story short, after only trying on 4 dresses and with the amazing guidance of my stylist and others from Eleganza I found my dream dress and I couldn't of been more relieved or excited. The girls picked up amazingly on everything the people who came with me had to say and what I was saying about each dress. It was honestly like they had mind reading skills. Once I had said yes to the dress it was very emotional after having just lost a very important person to me the week before (my grandad) all the girls at Eleganza where so lovely about the situation and made it such a happy memory.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

Tom proposed to me at one of our favourite places overlooking the sunset at Es Vedra in Ibiza. It was just us 2, a little picnic, champagne and a playlist of all our favourite songs playing over a tiny travel speaker. When he first got down on one knee I thought he had tripped as the ground was very uneven to then realising he had a ring in his hand. I couldn't believe it and actually at first told him to stop messing around ! It was perfectly unperfect and I couldn't of asked for anything better.

Tell us more about your Martina Liana gown!

I'm not sure what I was more in love with Tom or the dress I got to wear to marry him! When the girls a Eleganza first brought it out to me I really wasn't sure based on how it looked on the hanger. it was so far away from what I originally thought I would go for!

However as soon as I put it on and saw myself in the mirror I had a gut feeling it was the one. The curtain was pulled back and I could just tell by the faces of all the people that came with me I was not going to get any better than this.

I loved everything about it, from the fit, the sleeves to the most perfect train. The dress came with a detachable overskirt which gave me 2 looks to work with on the wedding day.

As time passed I was so worried I had decided on a dress to soon with it only being my 4th dress and first shop, but when I went to collect my dress and put it back on I knew it was perfect. It was everything I wanted without knowing it was everything I wanted!

I have never felt so amazing than putting the dress on the morning of the wedding and seeing myself in the mirror (and that is not something anyone who knows me would ever hear me say).

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

As we were getting married in late September the inspiration was the changing season from summer to crisp sunny autumn days (my favourite time of year). The colour pallet was a mix of greens, autumn and neutral colours with hints of gold.
The bridesmaids all had the same style dress but in various colours to highlight this.

We struck so lucky with the weather. The day before I have never seen rain like it but it made our wedding day sunny and with crystal clear skies. the perfect autumn day to match the colour pallet!

Tell us more about your Big Day!

Our wedding day was amazing. It was so calm and relaxed which is exactly what me and Tom wanted it to be.

However the morning for the boys was chaos whilst they got ready but I wouldn't expect anything else from Tom and all his 7 groomsmen.
I think at one point Tom got locked out of his room and ended up having to shave in his car wing mirror ! This is so classic Tom though so if it all went smoothly it would not have matched him or his personality.

Us girls getting ready also didn't go without its drama, our venue was a beautifully converted barn in the countryside. The time of year of course meant a lot of insects wanted to make their way inside. When I passed one of the bridesmaids their dress to get ready the BIGGEST spider had made itself comfortable in the dress. This caused a slight inconvenience whilst me, my mum and some of the suppliers had to get a glass and get the spider outside but was one of the funniest things I will remember from the day.

After all that, when the time came to get married, me and Tom saw each other and none of the above mattered. The day from that point on was just truly lovely.

All our suppliers where fantastic, the venue was styled beyond our expectations and all the guests since have just told us what an amazing time they had and how happy everyone around us was.

It went so quickly and I would love nothing more than to relive it over and over again.

What was the most memorable moment?

Honestly the most memorable moment for us both was just having an absolute ball of a time with all our closest friends and amazing families. Seeing everyone we love so much all in one room celebrating our happiness is something we will never forget.

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

There is so many photos we loved from our amazing photographer but one I love is just me and Tom in a field looking at each other with the biggest smiles on our faces.

It just highlights how proud and happy we are to be with each other.
