How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?
From the minute I stepped into Eleganza I felt so special, despite there being other brides in the store I felt like I was the only bride there as staff went out of their way to make me feel that way. The assistant who helped me, brought dresses from my love list in a random order knowing that I had my heart set on one that I had seen in a photograph on Instagram, she stated that she had never had a bride go with a dress she had just seen a picture of online - the minute I stepped into my dress behind the curtain with the help of the woman and my eyes started to well up, when I looked up so had hers. She expressed she had never had a bride instantly know like that or be so emotional alone without anyone seeing it yet - I knew at this point I had found the one.
Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?
On our two year anniversary Robert took me to the exact spot we had our first date, I couldn’t think of anything more fitting! Everyone knew us as we had returned so often for date nights - I felt so special as everyone was so genuinely happy for us in the room.
Our wedding was postponed due to covid, I had always asked for a miniature dachshund as a wedding present from Robert, so when our wedding was moved back a year we welcomed Dudley the sausage dog to our family, 2 became 3! I wouldn’t change having to move our wedding because our little cheeky chap has brought us so much happiness and laughter - then played a massive part in our wedding standing by bobs side as one of his grooms party! He even had a matching tuxedo!
24 hours after our wedding we traveled to the Maldives where we had the most amazing trip of a lifetime!

Tell us more about your Martina Liana gown!
I first saw my dress on Instagram, screenshot and sent to my bridesmaids and mum - this is the one! Everyone loved it!
I had always wanted backless as I knew I wanted to wear a necklace down my back with a pearl detail. This fitted the criteria but went over and above with also the most beautiful lace train with dainty buttons running down the centre. People always tell me that my best feature is how small my waist is and this dress definitely highlighted that by pinching me in perfectly at the waist! I felt so confident and despite the amount of material the dress did not feel restrictive or heavy which was so important to me as I wanted to be able to dance all night!
What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?
Despite being Scottish we always knew we didn’t want to go with the traditions of kilts or bagpipes. Robert and his groomsmen wore tuxedos. For the ceremony instead of bagpipes I had mixtape duo, a couple who play guitar and sing, perform an acoustic version of Beyoncé - crazy in love for me to walk down the aisle.
Instead of a cake we had a cookie tower made of layers of giant cookies that got smaller every layer alternating between honeycomb and white chocolate and held together with biscoff filling - then with the evening buffet a variety of cookies were available rather than the traditional sliced cake.
We had a statement white neon sign with our second name floating in a gold hoop dressed with white florals and green foliage at the bottom of the aisle which was then used as a photo station for our guests in the evening.
As a massive Harry potter fan I wanted to include this subtly, the confetti thrown down the aisle by my flower girl was black and white heart shaped confetti from the pages of my childhood Harry potter books.
The bridesmaids wore emerald green cowl back dresses so that they could also have back necklaces to match me!
Tell us more about your Big Day!
Despite not following most traditions, my bridesmaids gifted me a bottle of Tiffany and Co perfume as my something new and blue - it was called Tiffany and Love which was very fitting for a wedding. Then as my something borrowed and something old I had an old black and white photograph of my late grandad turned into a pendant and attached to my bouquet. Before the evening party began I took my nana to a private room and gifted her my bouquet, explaining that I had borrowed my grandad for the day from her to watch over me and keep me safe as I became a wife and started a new chapter in my life as I had always aspired to have as beautiful a marriage as they had had.
While everyone had a traditional 3 course wedding meal - as a fussy eater, I was specially made a pizza in the venues wood fired pizza oven with chunky chips and chilli sauce on the side! My mum gifted me an apron to protect my dress as I am also the messiest eater ever!
On the morning of the wedding whilst getting ready, Robert gifted me the most beautiful Mulberry handbag with a note hidden inside that said “I’ll see you soon Mrs Doig”
What was the most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment was turning the corner to walk down the aisle and seeing my husband to be look at me and his eyes fill with tears, with a pat on the back from his best man to try get him to keep it together.
Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?
My favourite picture is the photograph of our first kiss as husband and wife, this is my favourite as it truly has been the happiest moment of my life to date - and “The Doigs” hangs above us in bright white lights making it official for the first time!
